DAY SEVENTY-SEVEN
Rex blogs: Kailangang mag-Filipino...
So eh ano naman ngayon? Haha!
Hehe!
So bakit nga kaya?
Nabasa ko sa isa sa isang nobelang binabasa ko dati, "Don't laugh at other students who speak weird tongues, for it means that they know more languages than you do." (Amerikano kasi yung bida sa nobela). Napaisip tuloy ako dati, "Aba oo nga no!
Hehe..

Ben blogs: Intelligent Discourse
The basis of friendship for most people is trust. In my case though, the bases of friendship are conversation and competition. The competition part is fairly easy to grasp - Im into sports and despite my physical shortcomings I would like to think I would still make a worthy opponent for anyone I usually play against. It doesn’t stop there, I’m also extremely game when it comes to word games (Scrabble, Boggle, Word Factory anyone?) and trivia contests. This part is very easy to fulfill. How hard is it to get beaten by yours truly every single time? *tornadoes* *cyclones* *hurricanes* hehe
Intelligent discourse is a totally different thing. My dad has always been critical of me because I rarely go out of my way to talk to people to check on how they’re doing. Give me someone who could talk to me about the current issues of the world (the AIDS pandemic, stem cell research, same sex marriage, the Israel-Lebanon conflict etc) and I would be gushing with words for hours and hours. Unfortunately, not all people could do this - or fake it.
I’m amazed that after so long, I’ve only kept one friend who has specifically been evasive of intelligent discourse. Why does this person keep me from starting discussions that were routing to me? Actually, I still don’t know even up to now. I was reminded of this when he warned me against discussing the Muhammad Danish comic strip snafu with him. You see, there is a level of bigotry and xenophobia that shrouds the shallow philosophy of this individual.
And yet I keep this person as a friend. Jeez. No use, eh? I might have to redefine what friendship is.

Charles blogs: Makasaysayan
First time, makasaysayan, na sinabihan ako na may katabi akong multo…
Congrats!

It’s a benefit concert for Pampanga Corps. What is it exactly? I have no idea. Let’s just hope they’re a volunteer group involved in charity and other good things. Let’s keep our fingers crossed… hopefully, they’re not into terrorism. hehe.
Ann blogs: Bocaue fly-over
The Bocaue fly-over had been finished and made passable. After five months, at last! But then the project was made an issue by political enemies of the incumbent local officials. To think it could reap more advantages than cons. It had been my wish and that of the fellow trustees in our scul to have an infrastructure project that wud resolve traffic problems in our place. It was one reason why our enrolment kept dwindling for years. Then it happened and we were fortunate. Although we expected that the impact would be subtle and not outright, the recent development had given us hope. But then as usual, politics was there. There were copies of a newsletter which definitely was against our incumbent mayor which sited the disadvantages the fly-over construction brought about. Kesyo marami raw negosyo ang mamatay dahil sa fly-over (because it made the down-under of the fly-over seemed isolated), kesyo nung hindi pa passable yung fly-over, ang tagal-tagal daw matapos. I was not against our municipal and not supporting him either. Truth was, the situation in our town kept me frustrated, and kept me asking when would a real public servant emerge. But I thought that what those people had to say on the development was just the usual comments of political enemies. Ok, sabihin nang ganoon nga. Still, we had to be glad about the developments, but then it did not mean that because we're glad, we would no longer face the challenges. We could not rest for mediocrity dahil laging maraming puwedeng gawin. The fly-over project was not fully completed because the roads under it were not yet paved (it still had to be widened). The development seemed not enough.
****************************************************
I was about to meet aimee last monday, err tuesday, but I was not able to meet her. Instead I just spent the day walking thru the hallways of SM Marilao. I had to buy a gift for my inaanak, and buy a gift for my friend. I took lunch at goldi with my favorite lechong paksiw (heheh). I just felt masyado talaga akong pinoy.
Rex blogs: Ethereal Afternoon
This afternoon is ethereally interesting. =p
So this afternoon, I attended the ACLE* of my org which was entitled, “Talking To Your Angels”. And yeah, the title says it all, because we invited a professor from the College of Architecture to be our speaker. You see, this prof was given the gift of being able to see angels. Yes, the beautiful people with the wings and halo.
Haha! But as we learned from Sir O (the arki prof), angels actually don’t have wings and the bright circle hanging above their heads. He says these creatures have this bright, colorful aura that surrounds them, which probably lead people way back from the medieval ages to think they had wings.
Our ACLE was like Angels 101. I learned what they’re here for. Let me share for you some of the interesting stuff I learned about angels.
*Angels will be with us forever. Even if we die, when we meet them on the other ‘side’, we will be spirits just like our angels.
*Duendes or dwarfs are actually the guardian angel equivalent for plants.
*Kids can really see angels. So those stories where children smile or talk even if no one is with them, it’s true, they were probably interacting with angels.
*Angels have all the right answers. All we have to do is to listen.
*Having been with us ever since we were conceived, our personal angels know everything about us. We cannot hide even our thoughts from them. They know our deepest dark secrets. BUT they never judge us.
*When there is a message that needs to be relayed to us, our angels will stop at nothing to get this message across. They may not talk to us directly, but they may use symbols or signs. There is no such thing as coincidence.
*There are different angels for different purposes. Individual people are not the only people who have angels. Even groups of people have their ‘group angel’. Organizations have angels. The government has an angel. UP has an angel. The different colleges have their own angels. Even our own barakadas have angels!
*Angels can take the form of anything, after all they’re spirits. They just take the form of human beings if and when they decide to manifest themselves to us, because it’s the easiest form we could relate to. It’s not like we will listen to them if they were shaped like blobs, hehe.
Sir O even let us meditate so that we can ‘get in touch’ with our own angels. We had this nature background music, with all the chirping birds and rustling of leaves. The aircon in PH211 was even dripping over a pail, so the sound of falling water was an added live background sound effect, haha!
Sir O said that during the 8 minutes of silent meditation, all of us in the room were able to go ‘somewhere’. Oooh, intriguing, huh? One of the participants shared that she asked her angel’s name and for some reason the name ‘Michael’ keeps on popping on her mind. Another asked her angel if her father who works abroad was okay. Apparently, her dad was indeed doing fine.
So was I able to talk to my angel? Well, sort of, hehe. I didn’t ask him** anything. More like, nagsumbong ako, hehe. I just went on and on telling him what’s been upsetting me while hugging him. I’ve always believed in angels kasi, so yes, I have a good ‘relationship’ with my guardian angel. In fairness, magaling siya, kasi never pa akong naaksidente or nahold-up, hehe. And I always thank him for that.
So there, if you have any questions, try asking them to me. Baka sakaling may mai-share ako based from what I learned from our ACLE.
*ACLE stands for Alternative Classroom Learning Experience. It where different student organizations, fraternities and sororities set up their own seminars / talks about just about anything. Topics range from witchcraft to self-improvement, sex to current events, etc. Classes in the afternoon are cancelled to allow the students to attend these ‘classes’.
**I used the pronoun ‘him’, but I'm not saying my angel was in masculine form (angels don’t have gender).

DAY SEVENTY-FOUR
Gee blogs: Wika... Ikaw...
Haha!
Haha!
At natuwa naman ako dahil walang pangit na pang-uri ( o kung pang-uri man o insulto ang iba dun). Wala talaga eh. hehe...
Haha...
itigil na ito!

Benj blogs: From Dash-Media August 16, 2006
Greetings,
Thank you for your interest in the Dash Media Project. First, I want to give you an idea of what we envision Dash Media to become: You may or may not agree that, much like high school, the blogosphere is dominated by the “popular” mainstream blogs. We’ve realized that with the recent proliferation of blogs, it’s becoming harder and harder to find decent content. We also realized that “popular” doesn’t necessarily mean “interesting”.
In the Philippines alone, we believe that there’s a multitude of underappreciated, well-written blogs just waiting to be discovered. I, along with the other co-founders of Dash Media aim to provide such blogs with a channel that would give them the exposure they deserve. We also envision a tightly-knit community that would present itself as the best the Philippine blogosphere can offer.
What are we looking for?
Decent content. We really don’t care about your site’s traffic or influence. Of course, you have to realize that content goes hand in hand with decent site design in the sense that your content needs to be presented in a way which can easily be read.
How many blogs are we looking for?
The response in terms of submissions has been overwhelming and we’d like to thank you all for that. For the first batch of sites we’re going to induct to the network, we’re looking at 25 blogs. This round of submissions would be open until the 22nd of this month afterwhich, we will roll out the RSS system we’re working on and announce the blogs that made it to the final cut.
What can you do to help this initiative?
One thing we realized as far as the Philippine blogosphere would go is that it is very segmented and lacks the cooperation you’d come to expect from such a small demographic. We can change that but not without your help. You can support this initiative by writing about it on your blogs and telling everyone about us. Afterall, we are the first Blog network for Filipinos (that I know of). L

I signed up a few days ago and I think I have what it takes to be in the first 25. Seriously, is there any blog out there that’s better than my blog? You gotta be kidding me. *nervous laugh*

DAY SEVENTY-THREE
Ron blogs: 15 Pinoy TV Shows to hate or love
P*t*n*g**a, nagwaldas lang pera ABS CBN for this dumb show.. Nanggaya na nga..pangit pa tinapat!! Hayyy...i don't think this show will last..
Joey Marquez? Bakit sya pa for this kind of show?? I mean she tries to be composed and professional pero it's not in place. Huwag sa ganitong klaseng show na puro intriga at tsismis pinag uusapan.. Richard Gomez? Hahaha.. Yun lang! Paolo Bediones, though is a good host. Pero gaya nga ni Pia..dapat you know how to take control of your interviews..
In fairness naman to Michael V..mas kaiga igaya syang panoorin.. Sana hindi inalis yung Wow Maling Mali, mas masaya yun eh..
Syempre kung may pangit, may maganda naman!! Eto yung mga shows na nagustuhan ko...
5. Rated K--sobrang informative and of course hosted by Ms.Korina Sanchez..it's something to really look forward to.
7.Maalaala Mo Kaya--syempre ang all-time favorite Pinoy drama show ko! Wala na akong masabi.. The host is unbeatable, the characters are powerful and the stories are really heartwarming! Ibang klase!
8.The Buzz--you can never emulate the hosting power of Kris, Boy and Cristy. Ibang klaseng kombinasyon to. Besides that, magagaling talaga hosts nila.. At pag may sneak peek or teaser ang show, putsa di mo maiiwisang macurious eh.. The best!
Interesting at helpful!
10.ASAP 06--- wow dati to the max ang inis ko sa ASAP pero ngayong may mga "champions" na sila at mga spectacular numbers...unti unti ko ng nagiging favorite ang variety show nato.
Vic, Gladys, Allan K... nakakatawa talaga sila!
12. Pinoy Meets World--I think ngayon lang nagkaroon ng show na ganito ah.. Ewan ko lang ah.. Pero this show is awesome.. Ang swerte nila Paolo at Miriam, ganyan yung trabahong hanap ko..yung you make docu for foreign countries.. Yikes, so interesting!!
13.K! The 1000000 Videoke Challenge--- of course, music and comedy at the same time! May hahanapin ka pa ba?
This is a Philippine TV breakthrough!! Surveys at trivias, andito lahat yan! Interesting talaga!
15.Philippine Idol-- so far, sa first 3 episodes nila, wala pa akong nakaligtaan... Parang it really makes me proud to be Pinoy. Go pinoy talents!!!
Kelangan ko kasing makalipat ng bahay as soon as possible.
So may pinuntahan akong place..subdivision sya somewhere in Novaliches...
Parang andami mong gustong sabihin... At etoh ah..pansin niyo kadalasan Tuesday ako kung magBlog noh??? Ewan ko ba..parang gusto ko na ngang palitan name ng blog ko as "The Tuesday Blog".. hehe.. Pangit pala nun..
Bukas naman day off ko pero hindi ako makakapagpahinga dahil maglilipat na ako ng mga gamit sa bago kong apartment.. So wala paring time na magrelax.. Hayyy buhay!!!!
Ann blogs: 10 Things That Could Excite Me
This post seems to be self-centered :P But anyway, i hope you won't change with ur treatment towards me after uv read this. I seldom feel excited. Below are few reasons that increase my adrenaline production.
1) Good-looking men. Every woman does. I used to have a crush with the type of raymund bagatsing, and the likes of david celdran. though i had already outgrown such.
2) Adventures and Nature Trips. The feeling was different everytime I go to a new and different place. Falls, mountains, cool weather give me chills that I do not usually experience. I love travel by land where I could feel the hush of air in my lips and face. It made me feel grounded and so much alive.
3) Kiss. Kisses on the forehead and lips.
4) Intimate Moments. This could continually give me unnatural nerves. I was obvious when nervous, I smile a lot, remain quiet and demure, and shift my voice to high-pitch. The person had to do things that could make me comfortable in order for me to have the guts to talk and share laughter. The beginning was always the hardest part to know me, first impression wasn't much true with me.
5) Singing. It had been my frustration. Although many people would compliment and noticed my slow and low-drool voice, I was not convince myself that I had such a nice one (heheh). Singing in mall videokes made me giggle coz I truly enjoy such singing with scores flashing afterwards.
6) Serenades. I seemed to be the traditional maria clara type who liked to be serenaded. I always look forward to the moment when someone will sing a song for me in front of many people close to us. I will definitely appreaciate the effort even if the person is not a singer.
7) A surprise dinner. Just the thought of it makes me smile. I like fine dining and surprises. The idea of someone cooking for me seems more grand.
8) Making efforts to know my family (for a man). I would appreciate anyone if he tries to know and get into the heart of my family. I will be also pleased.
9) Jamming with a band. I knew little knowledge in playing a guitar and a keyboard. I was thrilled when jamming with professional and amateur band musicians. I was more thrilled when I once held drumsticks in my hands and did a drum roll. I was not an eager band enthusiast, but I sometimes tolerated such experience for a change.
10) Hanging-out with friends. I feel excited when I go out with them. I enjoy watching movies with them, visiting them in their houses especially among those who were alredy married, and going to excursions with them in beach, or in small resorts. I also prefer intimate and honest conversations most times but could also tolerate some senseless fun ;)) I always cherish such time with my few close friends.
Now, I have revealed my eccentricities. To others, these things might not be as exciting as I see them to be. But then, it's how I live my life and enjoy it.

DAY SEVENTY-TWO
Rex blogs: Rainy days and Mondays...
"Hangin' around, nothing to do but frown
Rainy days and Mondays always get me down..."
Haha! This song is so appropriate for today! Well, it was already applicable on the day of PGMA's SONA, but I didn't notice it then.
I had no class today. Nope, classes weren't suspended. It just so happened that ALL of my classes were cancelled. Ansaya diba? Aaaargh! So there, in effect, my journey back to the city was a waste. Darn!
So what did I do the rest of the day? I went home to fix my stuff and clean our room. Not only did I sweep the 3-week old dust, I even mopped the vinyl floor with soap and alcohol, haha! After that, I had a well-deserved late afternoon nap. After all, I only had four hours of sleep the night before and I labored to clean our dingy room.
I have no new stuff to share, so I thought I'd post some random things and updates:
* Remember my request for a phone? Well, the Jury finally meted out their decision, haha! Mama told me to buy a new battery for my 3660 instead of buying a new phone. Papa told me instead to 'concentrate' on my studies because in the end, his N90 will be handed down to me when they go home for Christmas. Sayang! Hindi effective yung blog-drama, haha!
* I have a kras on BANGS and JUNNIPER of LET'S GO! Geesh, I'm so addicted to this youth sitcom. I haven't missed a single episode. Well, I have missed 2, but I eventually caught them on youtube. Sobrang nakaka-relate ako, kasi UP and setting.
Haha! You might be wondering, I'm 21 and it's my money, what do I need the go-signal for? You see, it's true, it's my money and technically, I have every right to spend it the way I want to. But Mama would always nag me whenever she notices that there's a huge discrepancy between her estimate of my bank account and the balance that I report to her, hehe. Kesyo magastos daw ako masyado! Kung tutuusin nga, napakababa ng weekly allowance ko compared to what others have. Biruin niyo, since freshman year, I only so far had an allowance increase only ONCE, and it's only P100 (in consideration of the rising prices of fare). Kaya eto tuloy, I am forced to skip lunch by as early as Thursday (hehe, kung minsan lang naman, especially kapag nagStarbucks ako that week, hehe), dahil sa EVAT na yan! Haha!
Anyway, masyado na mahaba to. Next time na lang ulit. May bago na akong naisip na UNPOPULAR OPINION, hahaha! =p
Ansarap matulog!
Ann blogs: wrong decisions
I am always wondering how many wrong decisions I have made in my life. I do not want to sound negative counting such decisions, it just make me realize how life become life with its wrongness. we make mistakes but somehow these mistakes make life more exciting, an adventure, and bit by bit a learning experience for all to endure.
it has been my childhood dream to become a surgeon, an ophthalmologist. i had vowed to become one because when I was still young, my father got blind. he had a glaucoma and a disease called retinitis pigmentosa. things did not turn out the way i had dreamt to be. just after i graduated in my undergrad when i still had hopes to enter med scul did my father pass away. i did not have the courage to find a way to start a medical study because of the circumstance. we had to find a family arrangement that we thought would be suitable for all of us. there were lots of problems, both psychological and financial because my mother used to spend their marriage life as a housekeeper. for that fact she was not prepared to take over. our eldest brother pursued his law studies and i as the second eldest became the eldest in a sense. the experience had taught me to become responsible at age 22. but then i did not realize that i cud not be as effective to manage all the responsibilities. i made many wrong decisions which during the time I did not realize would not have good effects in the future. the repercussions of such lag in responsibilities i still felt today. it was just inescapable. these things have to be faced head on though. before moving to another phase, had still to finish. i would have to be positive in the times to come and should learn to channel the negative energies i had inside. i miss the cheerful and funny side of me. i did, unlike the cool and passive outside appearance i used to have now. that was what i lost in the experience but which I was trying to regain. few people did try to unleash that childish part in me, but never lasted. I miss the warm feeling. i would have to make decisions again but this time, I had to ensure that my decisions would not turn me into a stone. the decisions have to shape me into a living plant which can breathe, take water, and feel sunlight. being human is having those needs, and tasting the goodness of living despite unsuitable circumstances. i would have to start dreaming...
Benj blogs: Mistaken
Oh, darn it.
I had it all wrong.

What I thought: I was auditioning for the Asia Pacific Edition of the show 5Takes. Five people from Asia will host a show that will feature the sights and sounds of the Asian continent.
The Real Deal: I’m actually a semi-finalist for the global casting of 5Takes. There are no other editions of the show - the person who gets picked will be hosting with the other people from other continents. Woohoo! I’m in the short list of a global audition process.
Jamila blogs: Bacolod Experience
Last August 10, 2006, About 1:30 in the afternoon, we left the house and on our way to NAIA TERMINAL 2 to fly to Bacolod, in the airport we met the friends of my lola who is also flying with us to Bacolod. We flew 29,000 feet and the flight lasted for an hour, I got airsick half way of the flight, bit bumpy due to bad weather condition, upon arriving to Bacolod, The Vice Mayor of Sagay City immediately welcomed us with open arms. We stayed in the L Fisher Hotel in Bacolod. We had our dinner in Aboy's Restaurant and after that, we went to a casino there and lastly, we headed to a local bar where some of us drank liquors and danced, sang until 2:00 in the morning the next day. After a five hour sleep, vice mayor maranion woke us up by telling us that Mrs. Dulay and Mrs. Alejandrino are already arrived and having their breakfast at the ground floor of the hotel. We met with Mrs. Barias and few friends, driving around bacolod and when lunch time approaches, we went to a party for gen barias and for gen. ibrado, courtesy of the governor of the province. After lunch, we went to balay negrense and got back to the hotel got some rest, and were headed to the launching of the mascara festival, courtsey of the vice mayors league of negros. We went to saltimboca again after the launching of the mascara festival, Unfortunately for a friend of my lola, after hearing that his father is in critical condition, he went back in manila. I enjoyed our trip to Bacolod. I wish to come back to Bacolod again.

Sana, no hurt feelings Sis ah! -Gee
Honestly, I did expect that majority will vote for ehmjheiy, but I never expected that all of her co-VH voted her out ( or maybe it's because Rex and Ron did not participate).

The level of excitement for the much-awaited 13th season of Survivor goes another notch up! Spoilers are just everywhere online!! i haven't been that curious about these spoilers before and to tell you the truth, I hated all of'em. But this time around, one single spoiler got me and I'm sure most of us can't help it but to read..
"Survivor will have its very first Filipino-American castaway! He is named Brad Virata. He's from Sta.Monica,California. He works as a fashion designer."
Well what makes him unique among the other possible Survivor contestants??? He's openly gay! I also learned he was handpicked by Mark Burnett in a coffee shop where they first met. Unbelievable, isn't it?
Don't get too excited because this isn't confirmed yet. The cast will be unleashed this week! So hang on tight fellow Survivor fans.

Charles blogs: My List Down Under
Since my blogpost “My No. 1’s” is getting the most hits and comments, Ive decided to make another list, but this time a list that contains all that is “down under”.
I dont expect this list to be a part of my no. 1 list, if ever!
1. A Love To Kill - Kahit super solid kapamilya ako, meron din naman akong ayaw sa ABS-CBN, this koreanovela is one of them, simple lang ang rason, pangit ang kwento at masyadong late ang timeslot.
2. Majika - Angel Locsin as pinay Harry Potter? The idea itself is making me sick, the lines are stupid and the special effects are recycled garbage that was retrieved from the dumpsite. Besides the fact that it was made by GMA-7!
3. Almost all movies under the genre of horror and suspense, except from Sukob, Feng Shui and the movie series of Ring. Well, nakakatakot talaga ang horror movies (obviously!), I just cant stand being horrified, with my consent?
4. Mekeni Picnic Hotdog Ko! Commercial - That’s the most stupid commercial (yet, I am in laughter everytime I see it), gusto gayahin ang fame ng Coca-Cola the one with the hand-game!
5. S.O.C.O. - Another ABS-CBN program, I dont get why viewers would want to see people getting murdered. Just asking!
6. SiS - Circus and wet market every morning? Just watch this!
7. ESPN, Solar Sports, and other sports channel - I just dont fancy much sports, that’s maybe why I am so fat!
and,
8. My highschool Physics teacher and CAT Commandant, Mr. Romeo Navarro, I wont forget na minsan pinahirapan niya akong gumawa ng plates at pinagpush-up nung birthday ko mismo! But I thanked him for passing me in high school!
Hope you like this list.. and I’ll start tagging for their own list…
Ill keep you posted… later!
