Yesterday was the aquaintance party for the CCSS students of our school.. i dont wanna attend but our professor said that it is required for us to participate.. so i have no choice.. my classmates and my friends decided to buy the vip tickets.. i was thinkin that it ws a waste of money.. for that stupid party and concert.. Southborder was the band hired for that said party.. i dont really like them.. but when i was watchin the concert... it wasnt that bad.. but i didnt finish the whole concert.. after Southborder has played i decided to leave the school theatre because my mom textd me to go to seaside because its my cuz and my sister's birthday. then after we ate there my cuz iam and i was supposed to go out for a gimmik with aira and her friends apparently my uncled called my cuz and asked him to drive to their condo because he was worried about him. iam was not that familiar with this area.. so they decided to go home and dropped me at our home.. i was very dissapointed because im already anticapating about that said night out.

Jinelle blogs: UAAP Season 69 Opening.

I was part of the opening of the UAAP in its 69th season. I attended the training for the whole summer.. super hirap. pero it was worth it.. once in a lifetime tlaga. kasi shcool namin ang host for this season and University of the East is also celebrating its 60th foundation. this will be a memorable experince for me and i will never ever gonna forget this.. at last nakapag sayaw din ako sa araneta heheh! astig!

Charles blogs: Charles Reviews: Sukob, Just My Luck

Ok, so I think I am a movie freak now! Just today, Saturday, My classmates and I went to SM Mall of Asia to watch Sukob, but after Sukob, I dont know what happened, I decided to watch Just My Luck. They both good movies, so I decided to give my reviews:

SUKOB:

This is freakin’ good! Much better than Kris and Chito Roño’s first tandem in Feng Shui! I wont give much spoilers but what I like most in the movie is the fact that it scared me up until the end, which is a overstatement, beause I usually get scared on the first half of the movie, then I get bored after that.

Sukob, as we all know, is a ancient Filipino superstition, believing that siblings should not get married within a year. I much figured out what would happened in the movie, since Kris and Claudine “sukob” each other, they are sisters, for God’s sake! Half-sisters in fact! Now that’s a spoiler, but I won’t tell anymore from here.

The plot is very good, not great! The movie tried to use the element of time, from here you can identify the part of the movie where it flashbacked, but if you watched the movie, these past events are not clearly Joya’s (Maja Salvador) psychic vision, like she claimed it to be. The character name of Claudine too were a bit of a problem, ang akala ko, si Claudine ay si Helen, then another name comes out, Agnes, then Diane too were Claudine’s character name. Anyway, for the purpose of my review, Claudine’s name in the movie is Diane. I dont know who the hell is Helen (Kris supposedly friend, who died of the curse of Sukob too) and Agnes, both characters did not appeared in the movie, but the names has been mentioned many times in the movie.

So, all in all, this is much better than Feng Shui, and I recommend the movie for your entertainment! By the way, Kris and Claudine’s acting here is superb, Kris much improved since her Pido Dida days, and Claudine’s usual gleaming potryal of her character is much unmistakable!

JUST MY LUCK:

Do you believe in luck, in karma? Well, Ashley (Lindsay Lohan) believes it much. So when one has all the luck, all the money, all the pleasure, then all of the sudden, you loose it with kissing an unknown guy, what do you do? Ashley hunted and tried to kiss all men in the party that she went the night before.

Hah! And Jake (Chris Pine), who has bad luck ever since he was born, was the lucky guy, very lucky indeed, having able to kiss the lovely Ashley, and “stealing” her luck. He madeit thru the DM Recording for their band McFly (as McFly) and made it big, played in Hard Rock Cafe New York and sold platinum albums.

So, how Ashley and Jake finally meet up? In a cafe, where Ashley ate scrap bacons from an old man’s plate. She has been driven by her bad luck from prison to a pile of artist mud and again to prison cell. And how did she recover her good luck? She didnt, gave it to Cathe, Jake’s cousin, who won $25, but she had her own good luck, having a boyfriend.

The plot is nice, the charaters not stupid, unlike most teeny weepy movies and over all its good! But I am in half-mind to recommend the movie for your viewing… anyways, its your decision!

Gee blogs: ILISten LIBe and Loud...

Hehe... so ILISTEN concert last night. Commitee ko: BAND MANAGEMENT (w/ the RED i.d. lace i love it!!!). Masarap pala yung feeling nang may authority. Anywayz, I was thinking na it's okay lang kasi I'm really not into bands and I don't care about watching the concert. Di kasi ako makakapanood, malamang nasa likod ako! But, errr... I felt boredom a couple of times and oh, I wanna watch! Buti na lang pinayagan kami ni Kuya Carlos... (lalo na nung Sugarfree nah! haha...).

So so so,,, uhm nung time na medyo wala na kaming ginagawa, well, nag-picturetrippin kami ni Herson. HAHAHA! Sorry, Kelvs! Umalis ka kasi agad eh. So may pic kami w/ our Papa No Parking; you know that HOT guy na nabosohan natin (slyt lang... hehe) sa C.R.? haha.. oh, well, he introduced us by Ate Ange pa (his hands? wahaha!). It was embarrassing nga eh, kasi naman si Heshey, tumakbo... Na-shy.. I followed him and ang nakita ni Papa No Parking is ako yung tumatakbo... errrr... eneweiz, for you, Hershey, sige, ok na yun! hmp!

Hay, marami pang nangyari that night but I won't further elaborate it na...

Basta, 2:00am nasa house na ko...

Oh well, about my reflection... hmmmm... I am beginning to appreciate the rock genre here in the Philippines. and,,, that event made me more familiar to other ILIS students.. haha!

Rex blogs: Buddy Tree

Last Thursday, Aguman had its Buddy Bidding for its application process for this sem. As part of the Memcomm, I took charge of the event. I wanted to put a sort of twist to it, so I thought I would prepare a powerpoint presentation of the buddy trees in our org. You see, as buddy-mems, we call our buddy-apps as our 'children', considering that we are the one who take care of them during their app process and make sure they become responsible members eventually.

And in my 5 years in the organization, here's my buddy tree.
As the tree shows, lagi akong nagba-buddy every year, hehe. Ako pa naman, kina-career ko talaga ang pagba-buddy.I don't know why, but I just find fulfillment in helping someone out. More than the buddy write-up or the buddy gift I get to receive in the end, it just really feels good whenever I'm able to see my buddy-app through the hard Aguman application process until the end.

It's my last year sa org, and in what could be my last chance to experience the application process as a member, I decided to not have a buddy for a numbe of reasons. First, Memcomm ako eh, I'm supposed to be the surrogate buddy of all the apps. Second (and its actually the main reason, hehe), I feel like I've done my part. I confidently feel that I've payed forward what my buddy-mem did for me when I was the applicant.

Anyway, what is this post for? Haha! Nothing important really. I just miss my own buddies. As you can see, 2 have already graduated (cum laude pa silang pareho). Nauna pa sila sa akin, haha! Sakto, dumalaw sa UP si Dawn kahapon.

Since I'm one of the older and most senior mems in the org right now, everyone calls me 'Kuya Rex'. Being a bunso in the family, I've always liked being called a 'kuya'. But in my Aguman family, the feeling is different whenever someone calls me 'buddy!'. It feels better, way, way better. And that's what I miss the most. =)

I was thinking nga, ket pa ako lumilingon sa Lane 8, eh nasa Lane 2 lang naman pala yung mga bagay that completes my WEDNESDAY. Hehe, may common trait kasi kaming 6: isip-bata! haha,,,... I remember after ng class, nag-trip kaming 5 (absent yung isa), haha, nabadtrip yung nag-aayos ng pins. Hah, ikaw ba naman ang pagurin dvah?

Panpil 19 ulit! yey!!! 3 meetings din kaming hindi nag-meet! Namiss ko si Mr. Red Guy!!! But, absent si GEORGINO... Hay, sadness! haha... Well, there's an alternate naman, SI ERIC ni Jhoye ( na ayaw na daw niya... lool! hehe)... He smiled at me nung uwian, with matching waving chuvaness pa! Haha... Eh I was with Jhoye that time... For sure, Jealous to the max yun! Wahahaha... sorry!

Another thing,,, I met Patricia, schoolmate ko sa Roosevelt before... Diliman na pala siya (before kasi nasa Baguio siya). And she told me na may babay na daw siya... Oh well, is this a continuation of my last post? Haha... She seems to be happy naman about that so, I'm happy na rin for her...

1st.. from a keyboardist to drummer! usually i play keyboard at church, but when the time comes that one of my bandmates got a new job, it makes hard for us- most especially sakin. i'm the leader of music ministry so its my responsibility. if only i could play keyboard and drums at the same time WHY NOT! but then i did.. i played drums to the songs that i think it needs a drum.

2nd.. after that playing a drum thingy.. i got sick! its not a usual trankaso or fever which some calls lagnat laki lang daw harhar i dont usually get sick, kasi malakas nga katawan ko. so my friends get shocked nung nalaman nilang may sakit ako. its been a week or more i think. so its been a week and more din akong hindi nakapag participate sa pbbfg :( sorry :(

3rd.. Macky Quits?? I dont even think that macky will quit.. really!! even he's the only one VH na hindi ko pa nakakausap. well i know that he quits because he has something to do that most important than playing pbbfg.. like studies and work at the same time. good luck to you macky!

4th.. Kashen is the evictee.. nothing to say about that, because VH are the one who votes for her and thats the rule. for Kashen, still keep in touch :)

2days no classes.. well, the hell i care! hindi naman ako pumapasok sa skul but syempre a bit sad kasi hindi makalabas ng house, hindi 2loy pwedeng makipag-date kasi ulan ng ulan!

Gee blogs: NO CLASSES AGAIN... Errr!

Okay, I admit! The reason why I like THIS month is because of it's NO CLASSES thingy. But Errr... Pwede bang once a week lang? Dayum, I almost read all my readings (except sa LIS62, hehe), studied for our final exams in Psych 101 (which is NEXT WEEK pah!) and Gademit, we can't do our LIS160 Report! Kung kelan naman kailangan pumasok saka hindi pwedeh (pa-borrow ng line, Kuya Mark ah... hehe). Waaah... I miss travelling nah eh. And I also miss our ORG's tambayan. And I miss my classmates na (loool! haha!). Pwede bang palabasin niyo na ko ng house? I am stucked here for 4 days with my best pal, si PC. Kasi naman eh... I hate you GLORIA! I mean GLENDA... haha!

Mahilig pala sa pustahan c bbk heheh anyways, i really watched the Ms. Universe pageant. I was asking myself yesterday if how many of my bets did make it to the final 20. ms. japan, i remembered putting her on the list and then erasing her after i had had second thoughts. ang sabi ko non, hahayaan ba ng america na masali sa finals ang imperial japan na kalaban nya nung WWII? i was weird to extend the arm ramble to the beauty pageant. after proving myself wrong, i came to realize that beauty pageants are exempted from politics! coz maybe there is nothing to lose. it's just about beauty! no money involved! then i heard, Ms. Japan walked out after not winning the crown??? dinibdib kaya nya and she also thought of the same weird thing i had in my mind???

then in the afternoon, SONA naman. i was sure masaya c gee dahil it was declared pala na walang klase kahapon lahat ng level. i am sure napanood nya both the Ms. Universe and the SONA.

About the SONA, PGMA has a lot of things to say and promised and lay down, but i just thought her plans are ambitious! i haven't read the nespapers yet but i had expected that that would be the commentary of some fearless broadsheets like the inquirer. it was really ambitious and in a span of four years, i doubt if her administration can attain them all. i had wild thoughts in my mind that maybe PGMA was already preparing and presenting herself as prime minister if ever the chacha is effected. ther'es nothing wrong with that because her total dev't blueprint is good. it has been long since we last saw a comparable dev't blueprint during marcos time. but i just hope that PGMA will not be extreme and greedy. that she just play all things cool, be always reminded that her dev't plans, if not her per se, is needed by the country...

Too many things are happening, first macky quits, then kashen was evicted, another person came in? i don't want to say anything on that, ang masasabi ko lang masyadong mabilis ang mga pangyayari. then, there is the ramble between benj and kashen. hahaha! is it serious or just benj's way of making the game more exciting and less boring coz i found him remark weeks ago that the game is becoming like that. i told gee that i could not comment if the game is really boring because i was unaware of our site before to compare season 3 with season 2. ron also commented that. and about gee, haha, i intended to meet her last friday when i went to diliman, but then i wasn't able to save her cel # before the internet service in the haus got failing due to interference from some flyover over construction here in our town. lesson here is mag-save agad ng contact # ng mga kakilala at kaibigan once they gave it to you i will come back again after 3 months after my transcript is made available heheh! this is for the blog yata, hindi dapat dito sa diary hahaha!

Last night i felt like im so weak... i think im gonna be sick.. i already assumed that there will be no classes again today and i was right.. my mom told me to drink that stupid medz.. i wasnt aware of what was the effect of that medz.. i felt so dizzy and the room was spinning so i didnt finish what im watching last night and went to sleep.. i dreamt of someone from the past.. it was so weird.. super duper weird.. well i woke up today.. read messages from my fone.. i got irritated by some who's texting nonesense quotes.. i really am not in the mood when i woke up.. now im cravin for cali maki and i reall wanted to smoke badly but i cant.. maybe il go out in a while.. wheeww....

As part of our practicum this semester, we are required to have at least 2 professional readings. Ive decided to read this one, and it inspired me to become one and know why am I called to be one. This reading is made by John W. Schaletter. Here’s the transcript:

I am a Teacher.
I was born the first moment that a question leaped from the mouth of a child.
I have been many people in many places.
I am Socrates exciting the youth of Athens to discover new ideas through the use of questions.
I am Anne Sullivan tapping out the secrets of the universe into the outstretched hand of Helen Keller.
I am Aesop and Hans Christian Andersen revealing truth through countless stories.
I am Marva Collins fighting for every child’s right to an education.
The names of those who have practiced my profession ring like a hall of fame for humanity…Booker T. Washington, Buddha, Confucius, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Leo Buscaglia, Moses and Jesus.
I am also those whose names and faces have long been forgotten but whose lessons and character will always be remembered in the accomplishments of their students.
I have wept for joy at the weddings of former students, laughed with glee at the birth of their children and stood with head bowed in grief and confusion by graves dug too soon for bodies far too young.
Throughout the course of a day I have been called upon to be an actor, friend, nurse and doctor, coach, finder of lost articles, money lender, taxi driver, psychologist, substitute parent, salesman, politician and a keeper of the faith.
Despite the maps, charts, formulas, verbs, stories and books, I have really had nothing to teach, for my students really have only themselves to learn, and I know it takes the whole world to tell you who you are.
I am a paradox. I speak loudest when I listen the most. My greatest gifts are in what I am willing to appreciatively receive from my students.
Material wealth is not one of my goals, but I am a full-time treasure seeker in my quest for new opportunities for my students to use their talents and in my constant search for those talents that sometimes lie buried in self-defeat.
I am the most fortunate of all who labor.
A doctor is allowed to usher life into the world in one magic moment. I am allowed to see that life is reborn each day with new questions, ideas and friendships.

Wow! Reading this one, I realized what importance that a teacher can bring into young minds. I really wanted to be a teacher, but before I read this poem, I dont know why do I really want. And now, here’s my reasons.

About Miss Universe 2006..., it's Miss Puerto Rico! And yay! She fainted... Actually, I was rooting for Miss Canada but she didn't make it sa top 5. WALANG KWENTA. And another thing is, I can't believe that Miss Switzerland is our 3rd runner up after just saying " Losing my family...". Haha, so wala palang kwenta yung mga pinagsasagot ni Miss USA? haha! And about MIss Japan, actually, siya na yung bet ko sa top 5 because she's sooo cute, charming and she's the crowd favorite ( I think...) but the moment I found out about her WALKOUT drama, I was like... huh? Is that needed? Feeling mo naman... hehe...

And, about the SONA again... wow naman! Keep it up, Ate Glo! Dami mong fans... hehe... i'm excited if ilang standing ovations yung natanggap mo.... Haha! And may powerpoint chorva ka na ngayon ah... Actually, i think its brave for her to bet for larios, but i also think that benj is correct in his point... one dont stick up for his/her mistake, one should accept that he/she had done wrong and make repentance, then move on to the next... but what kashen made is that she stood up, instead of accepting her mistake... that's the part kung saan siya nagkamali... its not an issue kung kanino ka bumoto, but kung paano mo tinggap ung resulta!

Finally I find time to relax again... I'd like to write something different this time.. But let me deliver a disclaimer because I suck at writing entries that don't have rants...

Well as you all know, previously I wrote something about my fave reality TV shows.. Therefore, I come up with a what-if thingy! That's not making sense, I know... harhar!

So what if I become the producer of "Survivor" in the Philippines and I need to scout 3 possible locations in our own country??

Here's my own rundown...

1. Palawan---I don't understand why Mark Burnett(producer of Survivor) could pick the Cook Islands or Palau or Koh Tarutao over Palawan.. Mannn, this island has everything a show like Survivor needs. It has the perfect tropical weather. It has one of the most diverse wildlife in Asia. That includes the famous Calauit Game Preserve that can possibly match that of Kenya. Its history of ancient Chinese traders and Malay settlers is something we can make a good theme of. And who in the Philippines could ever forget the breathtaking islands here??!!! It has crystal clear water and fantastic caves! I can say Lagen Island would be the perfect place for the reward and immunity challenges. The tribal camps could be set in Busuanga Island. Nevertheless, I am hoping Mark Burnett reads this so he would realize how RIGHT I am about Palawan.. *sigh*

2.Siquijor---when I heard about the rumor that Survivor 6 would be "filming" in Siquijor, I felt ecstatic! The excitement was even more elevated when they said it would have a witchcraft/wizardry or voodo theme. Wow, that made me really proud of this island but that hope was ruined when Survivor officially announced that Survivor 6 would be in the Amazon. Alas, I thought that would be our country's chance to redeem itself after the dreadful Abu Sayyaf days that greatly affected our tourism industry. But the public was informed that it was Japan's Survivor that filmed in Siquijor. Oh well, my perception was not changed though. Siquijor could've been a great location for the US Survivor. The island has its own history of black magic, a theme Survivor hasn't had yet! Plus its island is as beautiful as Vanuatu(Survivor 9). So Mark Burnett might've regret this all his life! Hahahaha.

3. Tawi-Tawi---I know Survivor is up to something remote and historic. Well guess what, the Philippines passed that! Themewise, Tawi-Tawi uniquely has the mixed culture of the Sama, Badjao and Sulu Tribes. Most of its tribesmen were warriors and sultans. Survivor could've been sooo interesting with this theme, right? Besides that, there are soo many islands to choose from. I suggest the tribal camps should be in Mapun Island. And before I could forget...the Turtle Islands is also located in Tawi-Tawi. This is where tribal councils should be done. The Survivor:Tawi-Tawi logo should have turtles on it! Majority of its colors should be green and brown..

Well I guess I went all the way and beyond imagining my own Survivor! Hahaha! See how far I can go for my favorite show?? Uh-huh, now you know!!! LOL

Actually, I kinda felt that he'll quit (haha, after voting me as THE MOST LIKELY TO QUIT VH churvaness..) Well, not because of that. I heard from Kashen kasi na lagi siyang online before and the time na hindi na siya masyadong nagpaparamdam, feeling ko busy na siya and wala na siyang enough time for this. BUT I was kinda SAD kasi never ko pa siyang nakausap. I think he's an interesting person kasi... sayang naman... Well, if ever you're reading this, I wish kahit wala ka na sa game, maging chatmates patin tau... hehe. you'll be missed... BYE!

Anyway, im very amused with the recent nominations. nakakatuwa yung mga reasons.

I think i've figured out the owner of some of the ballots. some, for obvious reasons. some naman, i can sense their personality throught the way the ballots are written. well, as much personality as i can see based on my VHs blogs, forum entries, etc. For example, i think kilala ko si Pikachu. correct me if im wrong, isa lang ang alam kong laging nagsasabi ng 'thanks bbk' sa mga posts niya.. =p

BBK, can we have more activities that actually allows us to get to know our VHs more?

i know that we are all supposed to make our own efforts to get to know our VHs, but we are all busy with our own personal lives. i for one, cant even chat all the time kahit na online ako, even if i want to.

point ko lang is, sana man lang through required activites, ma-force man lang kami to get to know the others. lately, activities are more of requirements for me, and these dont even allow me to get to know my VHs better.

1st HELL WEEK of the school year officially starts today (July 23, Sunday) -Rex

WHY?
Hindi pa dapat ako lumuluwas on Sundays kasi Monday pa class ko, and kailangan ko talagang dapat linulubos ang mabilis na internet sa Pampanga. But mamaya, luluwas ako dahil debut ng isang orgmate sa may Xavierville. Plus, i need to go to mass and buy a gift for her.

by Tuesday, i need to be able to finish the apps sigsheet for Aguman, because im in the memcomm. i also need to finalize things for the Buddy Bidding.

Thursday, i have an exam on Physics 104.
Saturday, i have an exam on EEE53.
just so you guys know, i have previously taken and failed both subjects, =p

on top of that, im supposed to follow a self-imposed 1 paper per day requirment for my thesis research. i was supposed to start last week, at wala pa akong natatapos ni isa. d**n!

the thing is, i want to be able to study and do well on my 2 exams. and orgwork for Aguman is a personal passion. but the thing is, kahit anong gawin kong compute, kulang talaga sa oras! aaaargghh..

i guess i would just have to enjoy the food sa debut mamaya, to charge me up for the rest of the week, hehe..

It's been a while since i've been active in the game..and i think that my participation will worsenin the following days. coz.. im already back from vacation.. i just arrived here in san diego ..im stillsuffering from a jet lag but im already doing my oldroutine again. it sucks you know...it makes mewant to go back there...i miss "slow mo"philippines very much.. he he… I miss all thehours that I have spent eating, sleeping and sitting infront of an idiot box. And above all I miss being a couch potato again ha ha ha!!….. it seems to methat everyone back there takes their time veryinattentively.......anyway big bad kuya to cut thelong story short im letting you know that I’MQUITTING THE GAME... besides im sure that myloss will only be a booboo ... ...i'm quittingbecause i have discerned that i already don't havethe time to accomplish all the activities that youwill be giving..........given that my old schedule isback it is most likely that the only time that i willbe having for the web will be 5 minutes each day(ball park figure) every minute here counts.. wellespecially for me that's my time orientation youknow........... i have 2 jobs one during day time andthe other at night time.....i have to work hard tosend my self to school..especially now thatcampus season is getting nearer andnearer…..mmm.. enough of this explanation blahblah….ha ha….well anyway mmmmm..i think theonly thing left for me to do now is to thank all ofmy co-vh and above all big bad kuya ….. Ibinibigay ko ang aking saving point kay Jinelle dahil ako ay nagulat at natuwa na mali pala ang aking unang impression sa kanya. Hindi pala siya masungit. Mabait siyang tao at masarap kausap. Keep it up, dude!

Ibinibigay ko naman ang aking evicting points kay Kashen dahil sa tingin ko ay ito na ang oras para siya ay lumabas na ng bahay dahil kahit na sinusubukan parin niya na mag-online ay hindi na ganun kasapat ang kanyang oras para dito sa game at para narin kilalanin ang ibang mga VH. May iba din namang hindi ganun ka aktibo pero hindi ko talaga maramdaman si Kashen.

+2 KASHEN: In fairness to her, I do think she's nice, but i find the other VHs more interesting. Napansin ko kasi sa mga blog posts niya, puro personal updates lang nababasa ko, it borders on being self-centered. At least for me ha, I mean, wala ka bang ibang alam na pag-usapan maliban sa sarili mo? Kaya medyo ayaw ko sa mga blog na puro real-world updates lang. Plus, since the game began, medyo sumasakit talaga mata ko sa mga posts niya, especially kapag alternate capital letters! If she speaks the way she types her words, well, well...

-1 JAMILA: I'm not yet that close to her, unlike the other VHs I have previously saved. But I appreciate the effort to reach out. She always says 'hi' whenever I'm online.
